[Epilogue]
After defeating all the final bosses and Necron, Garnet has to part ways with Zidane as he wants to go save his brother, Kuja, who is trapped under the dying Iifa Tree. Her last words to him are what she's been working for and wanting for all her life. "Zidane, remember who I was...for me." Then the scene closes off with her and the others in the airship as Zidane goes back to save Kuja.
Finally, the Ending Scene. Probably in between Zidane and Garnet's separation, there was about a year or so given the evidence as her hair. When they parted, it was as short as the time she slashed it off with his dagger, and now... as long as it used to be and even clipped up. When she sees an airship landing in, she knows it's her one love, Zidane. So from her royal perch in the castle throne area (where Brahne used to sit), she runs to the door, where Steiner and Beatrix stand guard. After moments, the duo smile and open the doors for her. She rushes through the entire castle and reaches the bottom, running into the streets towards the landing airship.
Suddenly, as she fights her way through the bustling crowd, she knocks into someone and her Silver Pendant snaps off her neck and goes spiraling off through the air to land in the extreme opposite direction of the airship. For a moment, she clutches her neck. To retrieve her Silver Pendant, a part of the Eidolon Stone that is her only memento of her past life, she'd be late to see Zidane when he disembarks. Torn in between, she decides Zidane is more important and forfeits the Eidolon Stone fragment, running off once again to Zidane.
Before she reaches him, tears stream down her face and she barrels towards him, hitting and hugging him tight. She spirals around him as he holds her tight. Soon, they loosen their embrace as they gaze into each other's eyes. Angry with him for being so foolish as to risk himself to save his brother, she thumps his chest and soon collapses into tears as he strokes her head. They hug one more time and the crowd around cheers. You can even see the cute black mages hopping up and down with Vivi to celebrate the couple. ^_^ Aaah, true love... =^_^= enough to make a single girl like me jealous...
