[Secrets]
Here are all the secrets in the game that are some way or other related to Garnet. Maybe the info I've provided here is too vague... Well, if it is, just email me and I'll try to help you as much as I can! ^_^ Happy gaming!
» Secret of the
Eidolon Wall
Before Sarah's
father died, the Invincible left the village after completely destroying it.
With the glowing hope that one day, Sarah would return to her birthplace, he
made his way to the Eidolon Wall of Madain Sari. There, he engraved a secret
message that he dedicated to his wife, Jane, and his daughter, Sarah. This
message can be seen after you complete a special side quest only available in
Disc 4 which I will explain in detail below:
First, form a party with Dagger and go to the back porch of Eiko's kitchen, where, upon approach, Lani the Bounty Huntress, will run away (or rather leap away). From there, go back out and form a party with anyone except Dagger, Amarant and Eiko. After that, return and talk to Lani. She won't run away this time, and instead remain where she is. Talk to her until she says something like, "I saw some words in the room over there. They might mean something." Enter the room behind her and move until you find a ( ! ). Read the message, which should be a short riddle about numbers.
Now go to the Eidolon Wall. Walk clockwise from the entrance (to the right) until you return to the entrance. Move just past the ( ! ), and when you hear a short chime, reverse direction and walk counterclockwise back to the entrance until you hear the chime again. Do this 7 more times (9 in all) and on the last round, your HP/MP will be recovered, and all status abnormalities removed. Now walk around and read all the engraved messages on the paintings. After you're sure you've read them all, return to the Ifrit painting and look for an extra message. This is the message that Sarah's father left for her and her mother, Jane.
