[Themes]
As much as other female characters have their own themes, Garnet has hers as well! All the below are in midi format. Below are all the pieces I think are suitable as her themes, and yes, this batch of midis has perfect sound, and not once does it hold it's silence! ^_^ Download all you want!
» Forgotten in the Storm
Right at the beginning of the game, there's this FMV sequence where Garnet is seen as a little girl and she's in this rickety boat in the middle of a raging storm. This is the short piece that plays to accompany the FMV sequence.
» Search for the Princess
As Zidane, you have to look for the princess Garnet who has run off in a cloaked disguise. This music plays when you have to run all around looking for the naughty
lil' princess... ^_^
» Song of Memory
More likely seen as Garnet's Theme, this sweet theme is played whenever Garnet's alone or something like that. It's a rendition of the main theme, Melodies of Life, and, according to her, is a 'song she learnt in her early childhood.' Thus the title, 'Song of Memory.' It's slightly voiced with 'la la la's.
» Wall of Sacred Beasts
This is basically the music played whenever you set foot into the Eidolon Wall area in Madain Sari. I just decided to put this in because it's related to a Secret Quest about Garnet's real name. You can hear this playing in the [Secret of the Eidolon Wall] link to the actual wordings on the wall in her
[Biography - Secrets] section.
» Chosen Summoner [NOW PLAYING]
Played when Alexandria is under attack and you control Garnet, this music is a dreamy, soft, melody that really sounds perfectly mystical. this is the point in Disc 3 when Garnet hears this sound and when she makes her way to the top of the tower, past the strange suits of armor.
» You're Not Alone
This is the theme played after Zidane has an encounter with Garland, his 'father' and decides to become a loner so as to not trouble his friends. You get into many consecutive battles at this point, helped by various party members. But during the last battle, Garnet comes in to save him, and he changes his mind; he just can't leave his friends (especially Garnet ^.^).
» Bittersweet
Romance
I'm not too clear about this theme, but according to my friend, it's played
after the final battles, when Garnet has to bid farewell to her Zidane (who
wants to save his brother, Kuja). When I find out more, I'll write it here. ^_^
Stay tuned!!
» Melodies of Life by Garnet Til Alexandros a.k.a. Emiko Shiratori
(ending version)
This is the theme song of FFIX, and is also the Village Song of Madain Sari, where Garnet was really born. It can be heard right at the end of the entire game when the credits scroll through. All about life and destiny, this song is very soft-toned, compared to the clear, ringing
vocals of FFVIII's theme, Eyes On Me. It has a Japanese & English version,
both by diva Emiko Shiratori. You can hear it playing at the [Multimedia -
Lyrics] page.
