[Themes]
Throughout the
entire game of FFVIII, special music is played at some points in the game when a
scene occurs between Rinoa and another character. Below is the entire list of
her themes (in midi format, and YES, you can download them! ^_^). And a short
explanation about each of them. Sorry about the theme that can't be downloaded,
but, last I checked, all the midi sounded like was pure silence (even at max
vol.). -_- I could put in the Mp3, but it takes up too much megabytes.
» Waltz for the Moon
This song is played during the SeeD Inauguration Ball, when Rinoa forces Squall to dance, then leaves him alone after.
It's a cute, happy song, that connotes a mischievous feeling within itself.
» Timber Owls
More widely known as 'Forest Owls', this theme is played in the Forest Owls' train cabin when you first enter, and so on.
» My Mind [NOW PLAYING]
Usually played during the scenes between Rinoa and Squall, this is better called Rinoa's Theme. It's a soft, sweet rendition of the game's theme song, Eyes On Me.
» Succession of Witches
Played whenever Sorceresses are present (and they're eeeevil), and this includes the part where Rinoa goes to present the Odine bangle to Edea in disc one.
» Blue Skies
This is a short piece that is played when, in disc 2, after the Garden lifts off, Rinoa and the others go to the deck. It's played during the short FMV that occurs.
It is also being played at Rinoa's [Central].
» Love Grows
Played when Squall carried Rinoa all the way to the Seaside Station from FH
along the Horizon Bridge in an effort to get her to Esthar. At that point, she
was stiff and possessed by Ultimecia and he believed that Doc Odine had the
ability to restore Rinoa so he could 'hear her voice again.' ^_^ Aww, how
sweet...
» Drifting
This song was played when, in disc three, Rinoa gets controlled by Ultimecia, goes to break the seal containing Adel. Later, Ultimecia dispossesses her and she's left drifting in space.
» Roses and Wine
When Squall went out to rescue Rinoa in space, this sweet theme was played. It was also played earlier in the game when Laguna (Squall's dad), and Julia (Rinoa's mother), had a little discussion in the hotel room.
» Eyes On Me by Julia Heartilly a.k.a. Faye Wong
Better known as the theme song of Final Fantasy VIII, this beautiful song about love was played when Rinoa poured out her heart and soul to Squall in the Ragnarok after he rescues her. (Lasting five minutes and thirty-eight seconds, it was utter BLISS when I watched that scene!! =^_^=)
You can hear this at Rinoa's [Multimedia - Lyrics] page.
» Ending Theme
(remixed version of Eyes On Me by Faye Wong)
This is a much sweeter, orchestral version of Eyes On Me. Played during the
closing scene, it absolutely connotes the theme of beauty, love and truth in the
game. My favourite song! ^_^
